Process for reliable source research my IV infiltrated and the nurse had never heard of this alleged controversy. what is the wiki process when i cannot find reliable sources sited? the editor doesnt mention where it has "been documented" or "been found" or "has become controversial"

Nursing Treatment The use of warm compresses to treat infiltration has become controversial. It has been found that cold compresses may be better for some infiltrated infusates and warm compresses may be more effective for others. It has also been documented that elevation of the infiltrated extremity may be painful for the patient. To act in the best interest of the patient, following IV infiltration, consult with the physician for orders regarding compresses and elevation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arkbg (talkcontribs) 16:02, 4 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Extravasation

[edit]

At present, half the article deals with infiltration, half with extravasation, for which there is already a page. I wil therefore delete the part of the article concerned with extravasation and add a disambiguation at the top. JA Translator (talk) 10:49, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
